Do you think you get treated differently to your siblings?
Do you act any differently to your siblings?
Do any of you stick together more than the others?
Are you an only child? Does it make a difference?

I'm the eldest of 4 & I think I carry more responsibility than the rest of them (1 brother & 2 sisters).

Just out of interest!

i suffer from the middle child syndrome.....my mother actually even told me once that she loves my older sister more cause she was her first...she loves my little sister more cause she was her last....and i was just thrown in there........yes i feel i was treated differently....i was the only one she made get a job at 16 and i had to learn how to drive (my sisters didn't learn till they were in their 30's)....i was made more independent than my sisters which i am grateful for but it hurt alot at the time...kind of like i wasn't as good as the other two.
but i was daddy's favorite so it made up for it for a little while...till he couldn't stand her anymore either and moved out!!!!

I am the middle child. I have a sister who is 11 months older then me and a brother that is 2 years younger then me. My sister got to do everything she ever wanted to do, when she had children young {19 and 20} I was the one that would have to give up my social life in order to take care of them so that she could continue to have a life. My brother got away with everything because he was the baby. I was always the "responsible" one. My sister is now 36 yrs old with 3 kids ages 13, 15 and 16 and she still acts as if the world owes her something she is more interested in being their friend then being their mother which is why all 3 of her kids still come to me when they need to "talk" {she only has custody of the youngest my parents legally adopted the 2 older}. My brother is 33 and still gets away with murder.

Do I act differently then my sister and brother yes I do. Although we all attended college and obtained our degree's I am the only one that actually used it. I married had a child and soon divorced and raised her alone for 12 years along with my sisters two oldest off and on. Even when i was taking care of a newborn baby I was expected to care for my sisters kids. My sister has been married and divorced a total of 4 times, my brother has no lie serious mental issues which I think is mostly a result of immaturity and we communicate via email only. Its a very rare occassion I will see my brother or sister and when I do we get along but I have much resentment towards my sister for having kids so young and still not being willing to parent them. And finally YES I am treated differently and that is fine with me although born into privilage I made my own success and have a loving family that I am raising differently then my parents did us.

I have a big family. There are 9 of us and I am the 4th to the youngest. My parents treated everybody differently. I do act
different from my siblings I am more then a loner to my family
then I am to my own little family. I have two daughters and two
grand-daughters and we are all close. I see them everyday or every other day and as for my siblings I see them once a month,
or sometime not at all. But don't get me wrong I can have a good
time with my family. We as siblings all stick together as one big
family.

I am the eldest and I am the most responsible, I get treated only slightly different. Meaning I get in trouble more for arguing with my younger siblings who are only 1 and 3 years younger than I.

I think the eldest carry the most responsibility. Something happens 8 times out of 10 its your fault, the old "you should have been watching" line. Thats just one example. I'm an eldest child so I speak from experience.

I am the youngest of 3 but I grew up more like an only child. My brother & sister are 17 & 15 years older than me so they were pretty much out of the house by the time I have any memories.
I think I was more spoiled than them but I also think I had more expected from me.

I am the middle child, 2nd oldest of 4. I think that I'm more of the eldest because I have more responsibilities than my elder. I'm more mature. I think that I'm pretty close to each of my sisters. My parents tend to treat us all like children tho.

Oldest of three.
My brother is about a year and a half younger and my sister a year and a half younger than him.
Our parents were definately more strict toward me.
Not really a close family but I probably get along better with my sister.
I aslo feel that I carry more responsibility.
Sometimes this is burdensome but thats the way I like it.

I am the eldest, out of three kids. When my mother and father got a divorce, my mother fell apart, so I stepped up in her place, I was the mother to not only my younger sister and brother, but to her as well. My sister says that she looks to me as her mother figure even now.

I am the oldest child of my parents. My sister is 8 years younger than me and I have had custody of her for about 5 years now. I have always felt I had the responsibility of watching her - especially now! My mother favors my little sister big time. She always asks about her and buys her stuff though I'm the one who handles the financial responsibilities of both my parents. I am however my daddy's favorite and it shows. He loves my sister too, but anyone can tell I have always been close to him.
