Being a person who has been called "the best cook in town", I am confessing, lol, to you that "Yes, I have tried the mashed potatoes" and I liked them. Just don't ever tell anybody, lol.

they are premade, prepacked dishes. They are very salty and the potatoes are made from the potato flakes, much like KFC's

Yeah, you smear it on the side of a dish and lick it off.
