Go to City Hall and then let your parents throw you a party. If you're trying to do a big traditional wedding, then I would say do as much of it yourself as you can, and ask a few trusted friends to cater or DJ as a gift to you. Don't be too picky about what they choose though.

Well, it depends on what time of year you are getting married. If you plan a spring time wedding, wait until all of the flowers are in bloom and then have an outdoor wedding. You won't have to decorate much as the natural scenery will take care of that. Same type of thing for a fall wedding wait for the leaves to turn colors and then the be outside and the decorating is done by "Mother Nature".
What you do for your wedding really depends on what kind of wedding you want to have. Just think of the time of year and what is going on then outside. Bring the outside inside if you have to and the decorating will be done for you.
Do as much of the stuff that you want to have yourself. Invite family and friends over for a wedding making party and then create as much of what you will need then. It will loads of fun with everyone talking about the wedding and such. Good gab fest.
Good luck.

You can have a very nice wedding and not spend alot, and thereby save the extra money for a nice romantic honeymoon.
You can start off by looking a thrift stores or on eBay for a nice wedding gown. You can also get cheap bridesmaid dresses at the same place. In fact, you can probably dress your entire wedding party this way and still be very well dressed.
Next, you can use artifical flowers for your bouquets and corsages/boutineirres/centerpieces. You can check out books on wedding flowers from the Library or look online to find designs and arrangements that you like.
Next is your cake....if you have a friend who bakes cakes..ask her to make your cake as a wedding gift to you. Or ask around your town and see if anyone local does cakes in their spare time. They are usually fairly cheap.
Your location.....either at home, or at a local church or a friends home, or a park. Your choices there are unlimited.
Your Minister....if you get masrried in a church, the minister of it will probably do it. If not, check with friends and family to see if they know of a minister that would do it for you.
Your reception....Buy meat by bulk (turkey, roast beef, ham) by the pound, sliced, and a couple different cheeses (colby, chedder, provalone, american for example) also sliced, and roll them up and spread around a tray, alternating each all the way around. You can lay a small bunch of grapes between the meats and the cheeses to make it look decorative. Then on another tray or in a basket, have either small dinner rolls or small cocktail bread, or even white/wheat bread cut in half diagnally.
Open up a couple bags of chips and pour out in a big bowl, add a couple kinds of dip and salsa in some small bowls.
If you want a veggie tray, cut up some celery, use baby carrots, broccoli florets, black olives, and cauliflower and/or baby corn on the cobs. You can highlight your tray with Kale.
For favors, you can buy Tulle (in your wedding colors) and fill a small 6-8" circle with peanuts and dinner mints and tie it with a piece of ribbon and add a tag that you make on your computer that says "Thanks for sharing our Day" and print both your names and the wedding date. Put them on the end of the food table and tell guests to get one to take home as they go through the food line.
Most of these are things that we just got finished doing at my daughters wedding renewal on Halloween. It was very beautiful and did not cost them alot of money since we did most of it ourselves.
GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!

You could try a bed and breakfast. when i was getting married i researched weddings in hawii or jamaica they are not expensive if it is just the two of you and your not planning a reception. They can do them right on the beach. They look beautful. and it is like having a built in honeymoon

try this site - www.weddingsonawhim.com - it is based out of fl and they have packages where you can get married on the beach - and stay at a B&B starting at $250.00 and up (depending on how extravagant you want it to be) - a SIL did this when she got married and had a small reception so that we were able to participate in it as well - it was beautiful !
best of luck and Congrats :)

You have to decide on what the two of you want.
Some choose to have the ceremony where the reception will take place. It can be quite elegant.
There are also, garden, farm, ship (no captains can't marry you), museum, home, park, hotel, bed & breakfast, the list goes on.
