People are just ignorant. I dont know why some people have this belief that all Muslims are like the 9/11 attackers because the'yre not. What they did had nothing to do with Islam it had to do with the fact that they were insane! They might have used religion as an excuse, but not all Muslims believe its okay to "blow themselves up." People need to do their research and stop being so judgmental. Christians and Muslims and every person in this world no matter what religion needs to stop the hate.

You either are ignorant about the motivation behind the facts why Islam hates the USA ; or either you do not know how suppressed the people are there...they are not even informed unless they are a part of the military where they are trained to hate the USA which is a predominately Christian belief nation wide. I have only heard truth spoken from Christians, not hate, or lies. Perhaps you are in the dark. Like Islam, where those who are ignorant, there are unknowable so-called Christians too. Some call themselves Christians but do not really know what that means and are ignorant to what kind of stand they are truly taking. Chalk it all up to ignorance if you like...Call the 700 club and ask TBS
to answer to clarify so you can become a better informed person yourself. You can not get a clear picture from individuals in Yahoo Answers...you need to do some research on your own if you truly care to have a deeper understanding between the two
cultures.

I'm an atheist. When Islam became a major issue in the modern world, all I knew of islam was ancient history -- how the arabs preserved the knowledge of the Library of Alexandria and gave us al-jebbra (algebra) and al-chem(...) (alchemy, which became chemistry).
This was ineffective and useless knowledge, it explained nothing of today. So I took it upon myself to contact the local mosque and ask what english translation they'd recommend. After a SOUND lesson in the difference between 'translation' and 'interpretation', I was led to a book that contains the original arabic AND three english interpretations arranged in columns so each verse was adjacent to the original and/or the interpretations (ie: Surat 1:1 was the same spot in each column). I read the whole thing.
What it led me to understand was that it was as flawed as the Bible and the Torah before that. I also learned that Jihad is built directly into the text in such a way that when Islam faced no contact with other peoples, it could have Jihad of the heart, that is, each muslim seeking to improve him or her self. However, also written into the Koran is the inevitable jihad of the sword when they found themselves surrounded by cultures not their own.
Awareness of its role in the global stage has turned what WAS a beautiful and peaceful religion inevitably into a warrior caste that will stop at nothing to ensure its continued survival and spread, unless it is annihiliated.
Would that Islam could return to its pre-global awareness, but that djinn is out of the bottle.

I don't know one Christian who have ever said to use the Quran at all. Not as a Holy book and especially not in a derogatory way. All I have ever see a christian say about Muhammad is that we consider him a false prophet... You degrade Jesus is our eyes calling Him a mere man when we consider Him to be the Lord of heaven. I guess slapping our faith is ok? So here is the deal you can see Jesus anyway you want to and praise the name of Muhammad all you want to just don't ask us to agree and don't try forcing the point. We will do the same and not force Jesus on you as the God Moses spoke to at the burning bush.. OK... Jim

Honey, PEOPLE say idiotic things. Do you hate all Germans because of Hitler? Do you hate all Muslims because of Bin Laden? Not all Americans are Christian. You want to point fingers, fine. But don't blame an entire religion for the misdeeds of a few ignorant jerks. There are good and bad among all groups. Put the blame where it belongs, not on everyone in a specific group.

I am an agnostic and as such I respect people's right to believe whatever they wish to, provided it does not impinge on my life.
I suspect the fact that certain elements denigrate Islam as there appear to be a large number of fanatics who claim to be Moslems and who are causing a great deal of harm to the religion.
Nowhere does the Qu'ran advocate violence and therefore the fanatics are not true Moslems, although of course the world in general does not realise this.
When such events as 11/9 in New York and 7/7 in London occur, perpetrated by Moslems, it is only natural for the rest of the world to take a dim view of the religion.
I am afraid that a minority have tarred the majority with the same brush.

Sweetheart,
Muslims do say bad things about Jesus and Christianity. All Christians are considered as infidels. As if that was not bad enough, the Koran disputes the Biblical account that Jesus is God in the flesh -that makes it a false book and it makes Islam a cult. Add to that the fact that Muslims state that their purpose in life is to destroy Israel (the chosen people of God) and kill all Christians and Americans. That is not exactly being nice , is it?

I'm sure there is more hate speech on both sides then what you see. Most people I see acting disrespectful seem to be doing so out of ignorance, or because of past bad experiences, or because of how they were taught. So I say give them a good experience, and educate.

What would you say to my declaration, "Jesus is God"?
Would you tell something bad about my declaration?
Jesus said: You search the Scriptures because you believe they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me! Yet you refuse to come to me so that I can give you this eternal life.
Your approval or disapproval means nothing to me, because I know you don't have God's love within you. For I have come to you representing my Father, and you refuse to welcome me, even though you readily accept others who represent only themselves. No wonder you can't believe! For you gladly honor each other, but you don't care about the honor that comes from God alone.
John 5:39-44
The bad things we say about Muhammed are a result of historical evidence, I am afraid. http://bibleprobe.com/mohammed.htm
