From what I understand to be a Christian is to believe in Jesus, and that Jesus died for our sins, and that you have been saved or baptized. Now I believe there was a man named Jesus, just as I believe there was a man named Budhha, Mohammad, and others.
I believe that Jesus did not die for our sins, but that he died as a result of our sins upon him, that we also bestow upon our fellow man. I am an atheist in some respects, because I do not believe there to be a god, but more so a way of being god like. There is a divine force, but I dont believe it is a man with a long beard ready to cast us in the lake of fire. Man create hell in their way of thinking, and heaven as well. Judgement and fear only inhibits the purpose of divinity, and brings us back to the crucification of ourselves. This was the ultimate message that jesus brought us was that man will crucify man with his hatred, and bigotry. So does it surpsrise you I would make such a bold statement?
Just wondering, I wish you well

What are your thoughts on this? Oh Yes I also believe pratice energy work and healing does that make me evil? Even though I believe satan to be a word to describe the adversity of this world, and hell is a place that man create with his own fears personified with adversity.

I don't think that would make you a christian as much as it would make you a spiritual person. The only thing that does exist and has a effect on all of us is positive and negative energy.

o.O an atheist would possibly never situation that. Atheisim is according to technological expertise and each thing has a logical explaination to each thing listed under are some examples Why is the sky blue? Christian: reason god made it like that Atheist: the ambience is the combination of gas molecules and different supplies surrounding the earth. this is made quite often of the gases nitrogen (seventy 8%), and oxygen (21%). Argon gas and water (interior this kind of vapor, droplets and ice crystals) are the subsequent commonest issues. There additionally are small quantities of different gases, plus many small sturdy debris, like dirt, soot and ashes, pollen, and salt from the oceans. The composition of the ambience varies, reckoning on your area, the climate, and greater than a number of different issues. there is greater water interior the air after a rainstorm, or close to the sea. Volcanoes can placed a considerable number of dirt debris severe into the ambience. pollution can upload distinctive gases or dirt and soot. the ambience is densest (thickest) on the backside, close to the Earth. It gradually thins out as you bypass bigger and better up. there is not any sharp ruin between the ambience and area. why is there little dots interior the sky? Christian: reason god made it like that Atheist: those are stars, so particularly you gotta say Christians are closed minded in the event that they suspect god made each and every thing. Atheists locate solutions to issues and tries to understand its nature

I think your take is interesting. In some respects I agree with you and I am very open minded to find out your reasons for those that I am not so sure about. I do believe in things as a mind state. I believe heaven and hell is a state of mind. I believe in God as my creator though and I believe that Jesus is God's son but not by way of immaculate conception. I believe Jesus is God's child just like I am God's child. I believe that we are to be God-like because it also states in Genesis that "isnt is written that ye are gods". I believe that we are all interconnected and are part of a higher power that connects us like one mind. The teachings of the Gnostics make sense to me. So I think your take is interesting and agree in some respects. What do you think about this? I also have a question posted and would like ur response to it? It is posted under "Ta". Let me know if you are not able to locate it?
Thanks and be blessed! :)

Firstly, yes it does suprise me with the thought of someone being a Christian and an athiest.
Secondly, you cannot be a Christian if you do not believe in Jesus and what he did. There is a difference in knowing Jesus and believing in Jesus. YES, you know that there was once a man whose name was Jesus, Mohammed, Budha etc. God is not a man with a long beard (at least no one knows), but rather those were human descriptions of what was conceived to be God.
During this day and age, we should know better. So your original statement/question contradicts itself. Christians aren't doubters!

I agree with some of that...I don't believe in god either, I also believe Jesus existed but not in any form the bible describes him in. He was a man with a cause and somebody paid attention enough to write him in a book. The whold divine force thing? No I don't think so, help yourself, noone or nothing will do it for you. religion is just one more reason to disagree with someone. It's just one more differance of opinion to fuel the fire of hatered and intolerance...and to that I say...pray on

It should surprise everyone!!
Atheism is defined as someone who does not believe in God or Gods. The whole basis of Christianity is that God created everything. Therefore you are an atheist with no Christianity in you.
Watch out the Christians will now hound you to the ends of the Earth!!!!

to be saved you must acckwoledge that Jesus Christ is God and that only through Him are our sins forgiven. So you can't be an atheist and a Christian, because to be an atheist means that you don't believe in any god, you should lable yourself as an agnostic, believe that there is a god just not sure who it is.

To be a Christian, you must believe in God. Jesus is secondary.
Just believing in some guy named Jesus does not make you Christian.
To be atheist, you must NOT believe in God. These to concepts are clearly at odds.
You cannot be both Christian and Atheist.

The devil himself believed that Jesus was the Son of God, yet obviously this did not make him a "Christian"....This belief by itself is very different than having the Spirit of Christ living in you and having eternal salvation....

I think what you have acheived is spirituality and i think its beautiful. To look look at both sides of the equation is something i wish i saw more often. You have taken the figures of the religion (the crucifiction, Hell) and have interpreted them into something understandable. I think this is wonderful. I pray you have a positive future ahead of you.
Salaam.
