It depends on what state you live in. I live in Missouri and in Missouri you are considered an adult at age 17. It doesnt mean that you are an adult in Missouri, but lets just say you ran away, you're parents CANT legally make you come back. They cant cal the cops, because the cops cant do anything. I would get online and research your states on laws on juveniles. Seeing as though it will only be 10 days before your 18th birthday, i am almost POSITIVE you're parents wont be able to do anything. I ran away to Cali when i was 17, and before i left i researched online and asked questions just to make sure they couldnt make me come back, legally. Ten days from 18, you have no problem. GO FOR IT, good luck!

Legally, you need to attend until eventually Dec 27. you need to prepare to grow to be an 'emancipated minor' yet with basically 2 months to bypass, it relatively is not nicely worth it. In sensible words in case you probably did flow out now, with your loved ones historic past, the government at the instant are not liable to act to return you on your mom's residing house if: you have a secure place to stay (relative and so forth) you have a source of money (interest, low value rates) you at the instant are not seen delinquent (registered for college if mandatory, have not broken any regulations and so forth). in case you do flow out now, ensure your mom is familiar with the place you're, or she could record you as lacking, that could contain the police/FBI.

If you move out before your eighteen, then they can report you to the police as a runaway. Anyway, if you arn't mature enough to talk to your parents about moving out, you arn't ready to move out...You should really get your parents involved in this. Even though you might think you are ready, there are still going to be things you might want your parents help with...You just need to show them that you are responsible enough to live on your own, pay your own bills and work a steady job.

I am turning 36 on December 30th. :-)
I would think you could because by the time somebody got around to doing something about it you would be 18. I mean, why would your parents (or whoever) want to cause you trouble over just 10 days?

Legally, I think they can. You have to be 18 before they lose the rights to tell you what you can and cannot do. you could call a Lawyer and just ask the question...some free legal advise. Some lawyers will tell you and not cost a penny. Good luck.

Oh, and don't burn any bridges with your parents. They will be the 1st you turn to in times of need.

Yes, 10 days before you turn 18 you are still 17. Maybe you should talk to your parents, perhaps they will kick your ungreatful butt out even sooner.

No. It's 10 days. I doubt the police will persue you as a run-away at that point.

no not really... seeing by the time they file papers it will be past the time they can do anything anyway.... However, rethink what it is you are wanting to do... is it that important to you to burn a bridge with your parents?
