Don't know where you can get it, but I had some years ago (I think it was at a Steak and Ale in Florida). Sort of tasted like beef, but not really, and was tough.

They are fairly common in any decent fish market. There are a few kind of sharks usually sold. From black tips to thresthers. The meat range from white to grey and are quite lean and firm.
Shark meat is usually better with lemon or vinegar in the sauce as it has a mild zing if just grilled or fried. Shark piccata is a popular method.

I've had shark a few times and enjoyed it. Any good fish monger should have fresh shark on the east coast. Also, you should be able to find it in a slightly upscale restaurant.

You can get shark steaks from just about any fish market, Costco, Sams, some grocery stores, etc. Usually Mako shark, it's a lot like swordfish to me.

check with your local fish markets. Maryland should have an adequate supply. The last time I ate it, we actually caught it ourselves out of a bay in Maryland & it was delicious!
