I use i-tunes a lot but the music sounds distorted then back to normal, then it just stops altogether! My computer says it is running low on virtual memory.
Could anyone advise me how to free up space? without buying new ram?

There's an easy fix to this. Start > Settings > Control Panel. Inside the Control Panel, double click on the "System" icon When the "System Properties" dialog box comes up, click on the
"Advanced" tab at the top and then "Performance Options" Here you can click on "Change" to alter the setting of your
"Total paging file size for all drives" With your mouse, highlight and re-type the value you want for "Initial
size (MB)"... Once you've re-typed your new value, click on "Set" then
"OK" and you're done! This should cure that annoying "Running Low on Virtual Memory"
message you're getting from time to time.

Well, you're going to have to buy more RAM. But you can change the virtual memory size by right clicking on My Computer and going to Properties > Advanced > Performance Settings > and adjusting the virtual memory. It really depends on which version of windows you are using.
