This past weekend, my husband and I left our 2 yr old with a sitter while we went out to the movies to see Saw 3. While at the movies, there was not one, but 2 toddlers there in the movie theater. Can you believe that someone would actually let their young child see this movie? I was so upset I felt sick to my stomach.

The kids were not badly behaved in anyway, and I didn't even know the second one was there until the movie was over. I'm just disgusted that any sane person would let a young one see such gore and terrible things, on purpose.

That would make me sick to my stomach too. What in the world are people thinking? People wonder why children are so violent anymore....go figure.

I agree with you completely. I am not a parent but a well know sitter around my area. I would never subject any of my kids to a movie like that. But this not the first time and it will not be the last. I used to work on my local movie theater and I got costumer once that brought her to 10 and 7 year old to the movie "Booty Call" any of you that have see this movie know that this is not child movie. I got angry about this to the point I couldn't keep my mouth shut. I am a person that hates confrontation and I let her know that this a movie not suitable for children. She then proceeded to curse at me and called my manager. I didn't get in trouble my manager agreed with me but he couldn't do anything because she was the parent and we were not and "she knew better". It is a thing of some people not having common sense, at all.

Unfortunately, yes I do believe this. I've seen toddlers at Blair Witch and the Exorcist. The parents obviously have no regard for their children or for the people around them. I hate to say that the movie theater should be responsible but it's true. Most theaters have strict rules on age. Typically no children under 6 (except for G movies) because of the noise disruption to other patrons. The parents should not be allowed to take a young child into a theater showing R rated movies.

I agree that taking a toddler to Saw 3 is horrible.

However, I'm also writing to dispute the responses that say no toddlers should be at any movie. I know toddlers make a lot of noise, but if you go to see an early afternoon showing of Cars, shouldn't you expect to see a lot of toddlers there? I understand and respect people that don't want their children to see any movies. But, if you're okay with movies, what's really wrong with them watching a movie obviously intended for small children. How can you walk out in a huff because kids are making noise at a kids movie?

I would never dream of taking a toddler to a movie theatre, especially to see a movie such as that.

I have taken mine to the drive-in but not for movies that are full of gore...at that age they should be seeing stuff like Cars or Barnyard.

Those parents are going to be raising children with problems if they are letting toddlers see movies like that.

Yeah, it's sickening. I remember there being little ones at the movies to see Passion of the Christ. And that movie was very graphic.

I also remember going to see one of the LOTR movies. And there was a little boy, about 2 years old there. And those things that looked a little like elephants that fought, scared him to death. He was crying and telling his dad he was scared. His dad told him to shut up, they were just elephants like at the circus. He got so upset, my husband finally went and got a manager to tell the people to leave.

I have 2 kids, and I don't take them to any movies that I don't think are appropriate. If I can't find a sitter, I don't go. I'd hate to see that one little boy deal with a circus, and I'd hate to imagine the nightmares a kid would have after seeing Saw 3.

Ya I think that is a little inappropriate. I mean in the way that the Saw movies are very graphic. I certainly wouldn't bring my toddler to that movie or even my 9 year old. I bet those kids have nightmares.

That's what you call poor judgement. What were they thinking? They will get it in return however, when the child is having nightmares and they are awake all night.

You know what else I think is not right? When I take a night trip to a Wal-Mart or a Target (like I am talking 9pm or later, because I wait until my children are asleep and we live about 30 mins from the nearest shopping) and I see young children in the store clearly awake and losing their little sleepy minds because they are sooooooo tired! It's enough to make me say, in a rather loud voice, what are they thinking?

I think its horrible and not a great choice for a parent to make! I am the kind that gets frustrated when toddlers/babies are in the theater regardless!

I can only imagine what seeing murder/blood/gore ect does on a young mind/imagination!

It was certainly in bad taste!

I don't really see the point in taking toddlers to ANY movie, Even kid themed ones, Let alone SAW 3...

I agree, That is wrong...

Not only that, But it's rude, as most toddlers aren't capable of sitting through an entire movie quietly.

It's sickening. I don't even see why so many adults see movies like that. Do they really want to be so desensitized to gore? Not only is it rude to bring toddlers (that can't be quiet) into a theatre, but it's sick to even think about letting a child watch a movie like that.
