You have to take stock of what is important to you. Do you have friends or family or anyone that you care about? How do your actions hurt them?

Here's the deal. Most gambling is never going to pay off. Just look at your life experience. Ever win anything? How about your losses? What's your net win/lose? What else could you have spent that money on? A new car? A down payment for a home?

Breaking any addiction is very hard. You just have to learn to be strong. Those 12 step programs only work for some people.

Every time you think about gambling, think about Vegas. Think about how many losers gambled there to produce this ridiculously large hotels. Seriously, those things are just huge. Do you really believe you can win?

Good luck with your problem. It's a tough problem, but you can overcome it.

My brother is a gambling addict and he's been to counselling and gambler's anonymous. Both have failed. He also signed himself up for a self-exclusion program at the casino and that failed. It ruined his life and almost mine too. I always thought if he went bankrupt he would get better, but the bank keep lending him money. (even though I told them he's a gambler) It gives me an ulcer.
I don't know the answer to your question, except to say that hand over all your finances over to a person you can trust and let them hand you out an allowance. And then take it one day at a time and go to counselling. I think my brother did the best while on one on one. The guys in gamblers anonymous tempted him too much, but that may just his local chapter. There might be better run ones. Good luck.

Addictions !!! Oh sweet wonderful addictions!!!
I think it might be a good idea to get some counseling. You most likely have addiction branded on you, and so therefor once you drop one habit you will quickly replace it with another. Which in some cases is not a bad thing because one addiction is always worse than the other. So maybe you should find something new to cling on to ,,,just until you ween your self from gambling. Good luck to yah...Peace out.

Most people with your type of gambling problem get counseling or enter some kind of 12 step program to manage the compulsion.

Good Luck.

I would never take advise off of here for gambling addiction. You really need professional help. My father is a gambling addict. He listened to his friends and tried everything they said. Nothing helped until he got professional help. You need more help than anyone here can offer.

you just think how much your losses since you start gambling and compare how much you win and it hurts . you better stop now or you lost your mine someday. I would like you to make a list of how much money you're using for gambling and think what can you but or accomplish from that money.something you don't have.or something you or your family need.

I have had addictions to chemicals and I know how hard it is to break an addiction. I turned to Jesus. He is the only way I found the strength to break the cycle. I also attended NA and AA. There is GA which is gamblers annoynomous. I heard that it is awsome. You could probaly find one near you on google.
God Bless. If all else fails pray.

jesus will not help unless he is dealing from the bottom of the deck to you!
the problem is not your gambling the problem is that you are not winning, do not quit just learn to play better
