Change... The only constant condition in the entire universe.
It sounds to me that you have a non productive fear of it and it is exactly the thing you need to fix your problem.
If you are young and have a decent education as in able to find work anywhere you go... wipe the slate clean and start over somewhere else, with someone else under some other conditions. Travel, learn a new language... Put a little healthy fear of the unknown into the mix, create problems of your own accord and find ways out of them on your own! The kinds of problems that it sounds like you have... sound like the kind you get from always trying to make everyone else happy... but you!
As long as your basic needs are being met and you have no dependents... LIVE YOUR LIFE before it is too late and the real misery sets in. Trust me, I know where of I speak!
You only get one life hon... it is not perfect unless YOU make it that way! Do you really want to become your mom?
Sounds like you have caught a case of heart trouble and dropsys... Dropped your as*s on the floor and you don't have the heart to pick it up again...
DO DOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT and completely out of character...
Change your look drastically, get new friends, go places you might otherwise never have gone... meet someone different?
I am not at all psychic... but something tells me Seattle is calling you and has been for a long time?
That's funny... I just looked at your profile to confirm what I just felt and you're already there... LOL, Im on my game today I guess?

You are perfectly normal. Everyone (even if the deny it) feels like this at least ONCE in their life. The great thing is that you are asking for help. Yeah, you are. Cool. No one can do everything on their own. Believe me. I tried and crashed and burned bad. I still have trouble asking sometimes (old habits die hard) but I do and then I laugh because it all smoothed out so easily and I got all balled up over nothing. So.....you need to find someone to talk to. Therapist, doctor, minister, priest.
Whatever works for you. If you think you need more than just someone to vent to, the see a doctor. IF they think you might benefit from some temporary antidepressants, they can prescribe them. The good thing is that it is temporary. People who really have permanent mental problems don't know they are in trouble. That's not you. Take a deep breath and get an appointment. Pretty soon you be thinking....thank God that's over.

You said, "When I feel like this I can usually work thru it on my own but the more I try the worse it gets. .." Would it be the time to stop and ponder someone out there can really help you this time? When you can stop for a while and think (not "that" hard), you may find something truly insightful. Just clear up your mind for a min. or two, then ask yourself what had actually happened in the beginning and start from there?

The recommendations that you hunt down a clinical specialist aren't to any extent further all that remote. you would have the beginnings of authentic clinical melancholy. this isn't an illustration of weak spot on your section, you would have a moderate chemical imbalance that through no fault of your man or woman is gettin the better effective of you. seek for suggestion from from someone about possibly entering right into a drug study. drugs can help, they gained't damage or run your existence, yet they receives you back on your baseline. I regarded at your profile.. I wager you're the rock of the team huh? the only each and every man or woman continuously consists of for suggestion and the only that can continuously count number on to do the interest authentic the first time. that would take a toll. My well-liked line in Blackhawk Down is even as both infantrymen get left behind to guard the line; "Why do I continuously get left back?" "because you're reliable." "guy I hate being reliable!" Take a unusual vacation......bypass skydiving.......purchase a bag of balloons and bypass on a popping spree.......

You come across as if you are suffering from a mood disorder. Mood disorder declines are described as spirals because it is theorized that there is a directional relationship between neurotransmitters and mood. Your neurotransmitters sink, your mood sinks, your neurotranmitters react to the sinking mood and sink further which causes your mood to sink further.
Your best bet is to see a psychiatrist for an evaluation. If you would like you can write out everything you feel you need to say beforehand. Given your brief description, a psychiatrist may put you on a SSRI which will boost the Serotonin levels in your brain. Generally, you will feel better within a week.

You sound extremely clinically depressed. You need to seek help. Your family doctor can prescribe you an antidepressant, but it sounds like you are in much more need than that alone. You should seek counseling/therapy with a psychotherapist who can not only help you talk through your problems, but could also prescribe you an antidepressant.
Please jump off that downward spiral and seek help

Call your local mental health association - today! I used to work in a psychiatric hospital, and you wouldn't believe how many calls we got from people just like you. It could be just a bit of a chemical imbalance, and it wouldn't take much to get you on the right track again.
If that much stuff on the outside is bothering you, it may well be within you. Don't hesitate. If you are no danger to yourself or others, you probably wouldn't be admitted, just evaluated.

You may be suffering from clinical depression. A combination of counseling and medication is usually the best way to approach it. Your family physician can prescribe an anti-depressant drug, and you can ask for a referral to a therapist for counseling.
