Military is actually pretty good, teaches u a lot of stuff, u get some money(cuz u don't have living costs) and it gives u a resume so after u can join the police force or security company
the problems is that it is a hard life for deployed troops, they don't have many day offs and when they have there are no places to go, no girls to pick and etc...
university is a better option in general, but if u don't like studying military is a great option(better than start working with a high school education) and even if you are american the chances of getting killed are verry small
:)

It all depends on your goals and personal feelings. It cannot be summed down to a "koin" or "don't" answer. My husband is in the Air Force and I think it's possibly the best thing he could have done....even though he's only a few classes short of a degree. He is able to serve his country, and he will get to finish his first Bachelors as well as a second, and a Master's all for free. (well $1200 if you count what we paid into the GI Bill) It's providing him with invaluable experience in the workplace and his personal life.
He may only serve his 4, or he may do 8, but regardless, his service will provide him with great opportunities.
Talk to a recruiter or other enlisted persons with questions you may have. And be specific! This question is far too vague to give a comprehensive answer to.

Good and Bad.
What the recruiter tells you when you sign up these days and what you actually wind up doing are likely to be two totally different things despite how high your test score may be. Getting the job you want is different since the wars started in the very early 90s.
Listen to what people say good and bad and decide if you can deal with it.

The military has a lot to offer but it has to be a personal decision.
I loved the Navy when I was in. My son was an Army Ranger and he loved his time in the service. Choose the branch that gives you what you are looking for. They all travel, have the same benefits, college funding and retirement packages.
Know what you are looking for and follow YOUR heart and mind. No one else is going to serve for you.

You are the only one who can make that big decision? If you can handle to know that you also will kill many of innocent people and you think it is for you the right think, you probably should do it! If you have doubts about it, it would be better if you just leave it i guess. It is just a huge responsibility! I don´t know but good luck to make the right decision!!

The greatest service you ever can do to your country is fighting for your fellow citizens, every one dies for him or for his family but soldiers die for all the fellow country men.
