I just read Kirstey Alley consumed up to 28000 calories a day at one point. It seems a ludicrous amount. I don't need to hear if it's true or not, I'd just like to picture - seriously, so no jokes please - what would comprise 28000 calories of food?

The average person eats about 2000 calories a day...(you know even when you think you've had too much to eat...cause of that late night pizza?!)

...now take that and multiply it by 14!!!...

A normal person would probably be sick with all those calories, but not Kirsty....

Wait a minute...I actually think it's impossible for any human being to eat 28000 calories a day...your body would shut down...your body does have other things to do, you know, besides digesting big macs and pizzas...like breathing, and pumping blood, etc...

Kirsty revealed this lovely tidbit yesterday on Oprah - I am sure she didn't make a habit of the 28000-calorie-day, but she seems to think she made it happen every now and again.

I found this enticing sample menu to satisfy your cusiosity:

"Among the calorific treats the 'Fat Actress' star indulged in on a daily basis were a steak, half a loaf of French bread, six cups of pasta, 20 sugar-free Popsicles, potato chips, two burritos and a dozen grape sodas Kirstie, 55, said: 'I had a holiday mentality. I ate with wild abandon. Six, seven, eight thousand calories a day."

To put this in perspective, Kobaiashi the world hot dog eating champion, takes down about 17,000 calories in the competition (54 hot dogs and buns). 28,000 calories a day would be the equivalent of downing 30 Big Macs, 10 Large Fries, and 5 or so Large Triple Thick Shakes. I would sincerely doubt she ate THAT much, but I suppose anything is possible.

So much food! I mean like just start eating at 6am and don't stop until midnight. 3500 calories is one pound, so that is almost 10 pounds of food. Lets get started... Eat like 10 Deli Bagels with Butter and Cream Cheese and Drink Heavy Cream. Eat with Fried Oreos at Least 3 Dozen. Have a cheescake, 3 McDonalds Value meals, 5 happy meals, 10 super sized drinks, 1 pound cashews, and a tub of crisco!

I don't think that consuming 28000 calories a day is possible. Even 2800 per day / every day could most likely result in weight gain.

Well big macs are around 600 calories so that would be like 46 of them! That does seem crazy. Maybe very rich desserts, heavily fried foods, creamy things. I just can't understand how that can be true! It seems very ludicrous!

If it were cans of regular Pepsi, 150 calories per can. 28000 calories would have been 187 cans a day if that were all that she had.

According to the news today, a Burger King double whopper was 970 calories, which is really frightening - 30 whoppers a day would do it.

no longer a JW. needless to say equating a transfusion with ingesting is fake. yet of direction judging via what Acts 15 says on the difficulty 'abstain from [?] blood' it somewhat is obvious the verb ingesting or ingesting isn't there, so i assume one ought to argue that the author meant to dodge it thoroughly (i.e. Transfusion secure). Organ transplants isn't the comparable as allogenic blood transfusions.
