They probably think this is the only place they can speak their mind and so many people visit the computers and you are probably right and that they can find someone around the world that would agree with them or understand them.

I used to be religious and studied religions academically as well. That path led me to the place where there is simply nothing that I choose to define as "God". The Christians want labels, so the most honest one for my 'belief' is atheist, as least in the terms that they see the world in.
After all of this, I know a few things about religions and how they function in the world. It's a subject that continues to interest me. This site is one of the very few places I've found where I can talk about religion as a societal phenomena with intelligent, knowledgeable people. Think of it as a really esoteric local pub and you get my drift. ;-) Of course, while I've been hanging out here, I've gotten a real education in the mind-games that some fundamentalist Christians play with themselves and each other.
It's not clear who you mean by 'we'. From the structure of your question, it appears to be "Christians" or perhaps more generically theists. While I appreciate your wish, I have to say that I have been shocked and sometimes appaled by the willful lack of understanding from the majority of the theists here.

First, lemme explain clearly that Agnostics and Atheists are not the same, they believe different things....As an Agnostic, I come here with a sincere desire to learn, not from a book or a myth, but from real people in the real world. I have come to find many pieces of truth in here among the bs, yelling, disrespect, and jokes....

Let's see... how about... to talk about religion and spirituality?
Now I think the real question is, "Why are people still asking why atheists and agnostics come to this section?"

No, not really. I come because I find the topic fascinating. But I also have been known to debate the merits and flaws of the werewolf's religion from the roleplaying game, "Werewolf: The Apocalypse," so don't read too much into my finding the topic of religion and spirituality fascinating.

Maybe they come here to ask questions so they can find out more about theism. Also, maybe they want to put in their two cents. Why do you visit this section of Yahoo!Answers?

Many atheists and agnostics are spiritual people. Plus we enjoy discussing these issues.

Just because Atheists and Agnostics are not religious does not mean we are not spiritual. Atheism and Agnosticism are still beliefs even though we are not theists. We still believe in something, even if it is not in God or some other conventional belief system.

Becuase no one on earth can ignore a good argument, and everyone knows that R&S is the best argument on the internet, the only one that will never have an ending and so we can just continue to argue and argue and argue.
