No, The Author made it seem as if he researched this book properly, but most of it is made up, even the parts were he claims that such-and-such records really do exist, ...they don't. The big stretch comes with his interpretation of the Mona Lisa and the Last Supper Paintings.
The Mona List is NOT a self-portrait, Most Art historians agree that the Mona Lisa is a portrait of the daughter of a rich patron. Her smile can be described because Da Vici, at the age he painted the Mona Lisa was considered a handsome man who also happened to be gay. ...so not so much smile as chagrin.

The idea that the John in the last supper is Mary is completely wrong especially if you compare other rendering of John the Apostle, (both were he is assumed and SPECIFICALLY LABELED) All which depict John as a boy with no facial hair.

Absolutely. See, unlike God, I was actually able to go to a movie theatre and enjoy the movie. So I know it is real and it exists. SO I beleive in it....

Now, do you mean to ask if I beleive what is written in the Da Vinci Code? Absolutely, not - much like the book it was based on (the Bible), it is a work of fiction.

Do you "belive" in spell check?

No... the Da Vinci Code, like a lot of other books, is FICTION.

If we can have science fiction, I guess we can tolerate ecclesiastical fiction, as long as it doesn't propose blasphemy, as I believe the Da Vinci Code does.
A problem arises whenever less gifted readers/ viewers cannot separate speculation from accepted facts.

Yes I have seen the movie advertised on TV and at movie theatres so it must really exist. Does that make the premise behind the movie true? No. It was a well written piece of fiction.

Never saw the movie, but I do believe there was a good chance Mary Magdalene was the wife of Jesus. She was the most beloved of all the disciples, after the Resurrection the other disciples went to Her with questions.

The story is a work of fiction. The author said that there is no bearing to what was written, just a good stroy line.

You can be absolutely confident that what was written in the Bible about Jesus is accurate, and its accuracy has been confirmed by scholars (both Christian and non-Christian) repeatedly over the centuries.

After all, who had a stronger desire to preserve and pass along accurately the message of Jesus than the first Christians? They believed He alone was the Son of God, sent from heaven to save us from our sins. They also believed nothing was more important than obeying His command to "go and make disciples of all nations ... teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you" (Matthew 28:19-20). What possible motive could they have had to change Jesus' message or suppress the facts about His life? The only logical answer is: none.

Instead, they diligently wrote down the record of Jesus' life and teachings (under the guidance of the Holy Spirit). Luke, for example, began his Gospel by assuring his readers that he had taken pains to be sure it was accurate: "I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning" (Luke 1:3).

Don't let anything shake your confidence in what God has given us in His Word, the Bible. Most of all, don't let anything shake your confidence in Jesus Christ, who alone came down from heaven to save us from our sins.
