I'm not sure about Jesus, but God most definately IS a gambling man.
I refer you to the book of Job. God had a bet with the devil that Job would curse His name.

Yeah he gambled on us, with the hope that we would see the manifestation of our fears and judgement upon our fellow man, that would lead to the crucification of man as a whole.
Hey guys what do I have to do to get my message acoss die. So that you may see the consequences of your judgement upon me, in hopes that you will not do this to your fellow man. Look at me Im on the cross dying as a result of YOUR SINS UPON ME!!! I am the example of how not to treat your fellow man. Do you see where this leads to. I guess some who claim others to be evil didnt get the message.... I wish you well

No. Gambling presupposed that you do not know the outcome already. Jesus already knew, thus it would not be gambling.
