After you've soaked it, put it in the fridge for an hour to get really cold.
Then carefully pour boiling water straight from the kettle directly onto the paddle.
Immediately use a cloth-wrapped hand to pull the paddle off. The secret is to make the paddle expand with the heat without giving the spindle time to expand and retighten inside the paddle.

Just typical of a man. Soak it in soapy water then have another go. Maybe a good idea to send your husband to the local shop for a loaf next time:)

If you've had it soaking (it needs at least a day) try holding the beater and wriggling the part underneath, then give it a bit more of a soak. Mind you he who stuck it in should be made to get it out!!

Sounds like you have a Morphy Richards machine?! Ours sticks frequently. Try wiggling it and pulling at the same time, you wont think it's moving but it will eventually slide off. Put some cooking oil inside before you ust it again.

Get a pair of pliers and pull it out. I have 2 bread machines and they both pull off of the shaft. After you get it out of the machine, beat your husband with it and tell him next time, HE removes it! Better yet, have your husband remove it.
