usually it depends on the guy, if its a guy who doesn't show feelings and is cruel, then he is just saying it to comfort you and make you feel good, if you are actually sure that he means it, then what that means is that things have been rough for him and you have come along and out of all the darkness he might be in, you are the light. Like i said, it depends on the type of guy
