Rebooting simply means turning off your computer and turning it back on. This will not solve your problem. You can check in Add/remove programs under control panel to see if Word (or Microsoft Office) still appears. If not you probably need to re-install word. Also you can try clicking start, run, and typing in winword and clicking OK. If word loads, then you didn't uninstall word you probably just deleted a shortcut. Search for winword.exe and make a new shortcut.

There's several programs that let you use fonts and colors and stuff, but I bet yer thinking of Word. Maybe you just deleted the "shortcut"?
Most folks have their shortcuts as icons (picture thingies) hanging around on the screen all the time. If that's all, then go click "Start" then click "Programs". (If it's a small list go to the bottom arrow to see the whole list.) Then go find Microsoft Office in the list, then over your cursor over it, and it'll expand out, and you'll see Word, then hover your cursor over Word and hold down the *Right* mouse button and drag out the Word icon to your screen top ("copy here" when prompted) and "voila" Word is back!

Unless you have the original disks that came with your computer (one marked either Microsoft Office or Microsoft Works) i'm afraid you will need to purchase the program again.
If you have one of those disks, stick it in, it will auto-run and take you through the installation of the software again.
Hope this helps!

If you just deleted the shortcut, go retrieve it from the recycle bin. If you uninstalled it from add/remove programs, you are going to have to re-install it.
