At work there is a lady that sits in the cubicle next to me who sprays her Lysol in the air probably 5-8 times per day, and she sprays a lot! I know it kills germs but can't it be bad to be breathing Lysol in all day? If you know of any more problems it can cause let me know. Thank you.

Anything taken to an excess is bad, and Lysol is no different. The aerisol isn't really bad for you, but if you're coughing and uncomfortable, if it's getting in your eyes, ask her to either stop or slow down her libations. If she refuses ask to be moved. Either way, definatley speak to your supervisor about it. Too much of something can be a bad thing too. Good luck.

Unfortunatly in the last 10 yrs or so people in general have become "germaphobes" constantly bombarded by media telling us that if we should happen to not be extremely clean we will get some sort of horible germ and become ill or DIE! The cleanning chemical industry took note and ran with it, "bleach this , Lysol that, cleanners for every inch or your home to KILL those terrible unwanted bacteria and germs, The media told us if you dont clean your home with all these things then your children will become seriously ill with all sorts of terrible things so we were good mothers and cleanned untill our fingers were raw with the chemicals.........little did we know that scientists are now disscovering links between household cleaners and some kinds of nasty diseases like cancer in us in our children and even our pets! Look at the warning lables those should scare the heck out anyone! The researchers now beleive that we were such good parents and killed al the bad germs that now we have a generation of kids whos bodies cant fight off a simple infection. when I was a kid we were allowed to get dirty and our parents didnt freak out if we did get into something with germs and I can tell you that I was allmost never sick! Fortunatly I raised my son that way too and he was extremly healthy, my best friend however Lysoled the hell out of everything in her home and bleached everything else and her kids were ALLWAYS sick, no lie!! Talk to people at your local health food stores they often times have good articles on thigns like this and look into cleanners that are biodegradable and not harmful to you or the enviroment "WATKINS" has many of these products and they work GREAT without all the potential health risks.

Lysol does not kill germs in the air. Tell her to use OUST. Lysol is to spray on objects to kill germs. You can spray it till it is wet, and let it dry. Not harmful.
