Can anyone point me to suras in the Qur'an or The Hadiths that really address Sharia? I am working on a project for a class in University. I want to ensure accuracy in my presentation of Sharia.

This is one of the things I like about Muslims. You are all friendly and welcoming. I am a Buddhist, But I have Isalmic tendencies, if that makes sense. I thank ALL of you for the great Insight.

Brother.. there are no true muslims or non true muslim please. We are not like born again christians(whatever that is). The Qu'ran is A book and there should be 1 type of muslim in the entire world.

But then again its a bit tough to ans your ques as it run all along the entire BOOK. Any of us can't be writting this down here. There is sweet sis up there who could help you. Feel free to contact her. Poki poki might have something for you too.

"The Qu'ran is A book and there should be 1 type of muslim in the entire world."

Except that there isn't. I've been to the Middle East, and there are a variety of different subgroups of Muslims, further complicated by tribal traditions and histories.

As a side note: The type of Muslim that is giving the US so much trouble right now is a sect called "Wahabbism". A highly militant, conservative, literal, and aggressive form of Islam.

Very dangerous. You go first.

To many to point out. You would need to get a sharia law book. Is like asking us to sum here all the history of how the us constitution has come to being. If you need help I can help usconvert@yahoo.com. But I can not point everything at once!

Sharia Laws are scattered all over the Quran.

i'll try my best to help you though. Sharia is HUGE and people go to college to study sharia law so.

give me a moment i'll try to find something on the web that summarize it for ya.

hang on

Edit, try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharia#Muslim_apostates although i would say that sometimes it is not 100% accurate.
