I think it is the media's negative portrayal of Isalm that has caused the ignorance of the truth and beauty of the faith. I am Buddhist and I look upon you, your veil and your faith as being beautiful. En Sh'Allah, the day will come when people understand Isalm for the faith of PEACE that it truely is.

Actually, for me it's the veil. I don't like any of the organized religions, but have nothing against Islam in particular. To be honest, I don't know enough about Islam to make any specific judgements, so it just gets lumped into the same category as Christianity. But yes, the veil; It seems arrogant that that you may hide your face, but dare look onto the faces of others. It's rude to say the least. Besides, it's my understanding that the veils have nothing to do with relgion, per se, and are just a cultural thing to stop other men from checking out a husband or father's property.

It's neither hate you or hate Islam, I think that it's just not what people are used to in North America. Personally, when I speak to someone face to face, I like to see all of their face. Being able to see facial expressions allows for trust and bonding to happen between two people (regardless of religion or culture). If a North American were to travel to a Middle Eastern country, they would, in certain countries, be expected to follow the rules of their culture. However; when coming to North America the question is "it;s my culture, why can I not be excepted for what I am?" There would appear to be a double standard here, which may be part of the problem.

Not that many hate Islam, it's the majority of Islame ( the religion of peace) that are hatefull, and are taught to hate as soon as they draw a breath. Who is doing all the hate crimes now, old shanty Irishmen?

nobody "hates" your veil or Islam. Honest people usually don't hide their face, it is generally the dishonest, the violent, the wicked who want to keep their face hidden.
