ILLEGALS PAY TAXES and this is why there are so many. It is impossible to become legal....it is called oppression in my book. To become legal at least for the Mexicans.....They have to apply and wait at least 15 years for a denial or acceptance. Lets use an analogy.. My child graduated high school at 18 years old....then has to wait 15 years to be gainfully employed....that means he will be 33 years old before he is able to become employed....what sense does that make....in the meantime what does he do to support himself? Here are my thoughts on why this situation is as it is and will continue to stay as so:
I don't wish to offend you but I do wish to inform you..... There is no TAX Free money in regards to the majority of the illegals.... unless they work in cash paying jobs ... like construction for example... Lots of people hide in the construction business for that very reason..... illegals are just working in construction. We have American dead beat dads who work in it too so they get easy money under the table as we call it so as not to pay child support. Most industries pay with payroll checks. If an illegal works in an industry that does pay with payroll checks then the appropriate federal and state taxes are removed. I recently did a spot check on payroll checks from the main industry in my town from 4 different illegal pay stubs..... 2 from poultry and 2 from restaurants. I did an estimate based on those 4 pay stubs in regards to the shifts worked at each one of those industries. I had an estimate of State taxes paid in to my state of $64,000.00. I did not figure up the Federal Taxes but you best believe that they have been raking it in also. Please keep in mind that the county that I live in is not ranked among the largest in my state. I would love to be able to do a State wide survey, but the problem is getting people to trust you not to use their information against them. You may be surprised to also be informed that at least 2 of these people had health insurance for which they paid for & utilized, they also had an additional voluntary $5.00 taken out each week as a donation for United Way Fund. I did no guesstimates on those donations, but just these 2 people alone donate a solid figure of $520.00 @ year which has to be noted as community service. IT WAS A REAL EYE OPENER TO ME. Please understand that the illegal does not file federal income taxes.... he does fall in a low income category and would be eligible to receive most of his tax money paid in as refunds... now do you really think that our government wants to make them legal so they have to give that money back ..... NO, of course not. The fence is going to be a joke. Who cares build the fence. The American public has clamored that they wish for this atrocity to be built. Then once all those billions of dollars are sunk into the building of this shameful wall......there will be no money for mass deportations...You seed this is why the government is building this wall... We all know that it will not serve the purpose for which it is built....They didn't even build a levy that could protect New Orleans..... the illegals crossing are just as unpredictable.....Build the fence so they will be able to say later well we don't have the money now for deportations.......Also you will see discounts on ladders on the other side of the border. You just need a ladder to safely scale the wall without a scratch. .THE POLITICIANS DO NOT WANT TO SEND THE ILLEGAL BACK

While most of us understand that anything worth having is worth waiting for, illegals don't. If I want a new car, I save up money to buy one. If people in other countries want a chance at a better life in the US, they too should save their pennies and wait. I understand that the Mexican government is corrupt, hell, they give their own citizens maps and tips for crossing the border, just so illegals can come here, find cash jobs, send money back to their families in Mexico, so the government can take huge taxes out in exchange for cashing the check. It's a win/win situation for the Mexican government. If the Mexican government would help us, instead of aiding and abetting the criminals, the situation cold improve dramatically. But instead, we're stuck with a culture of freeloaders. Sure they may take jobs most of us wouldn't do for pay we'd find offensive. That's OUR fault for being "too good" to pick lettuce and scrub toilets. If all the unemployed American citizens would go take those jobs, there wouldn't be any need for illegals. They'd find no jobs, and maybe go home. However, if they'd do things the right way, and become citizens, they could have far higher wages. But that doesn't seem to sink in when you tell them,m mainly because they don't understand English. /end rant

The answer is complex.
You might think it's a question of just filling out the right forms, taking the time to stand in line, simply waiting for a turn at citizenship.
But becoming a US citizen is a labyrinth of bureaucracy
For one thing, there are different ways to apply:
For employment, asylum, as a religious worker, refugee, as a family-based immigrant or as an investor.
But there are almost as many reasons why the law isn't obeyed as there are illegal immigrants.
But to me it would well be worth the time and money it takes to be legal and thus not have to take the low paying jobs. But it seems that the easy way is the way preferred today. They need to be arrested and systematically deported to their home country.

In my opinion, there are so many illegal aliens here in the U.S. Because Big Business want the Cheap Labor.
The American Polticans wants the Bribes, perks, vacations and future job and business opportunities paid and promised to them by Big Business.
So, the Politicans let the illegal aliens in!
Then we the American people have to suffer and pay for them, each and everyone of us!
We must demand a CRACK DOWN on Employers who hire illegal aliens.
We MUST "DEMAND" that the U.S. uphold the laws of immigration already on the books.
The Politicans allow the illegals to break our laws because the POLITICIANS are getting paid under the table!!!
NO MORE MR. NICE GUY!

Sure the process is difficult and it does take money. But our immigration system contemplates that you are law-abiding and that you start the application process for entry into the US in your own country. Thus, initial entry is a legal entry.
How do you change that process to accomodate illegals who do not have permission to enter the U.S.?

An alien is defined as: "a resident born in or belonging to a distinct u . s . a . who has not received citizenship by technique of naturalization." So considering that an alien is someone who already does not have citizenship, as defined, that means that they are for sure unlawful. So putting unlawful in the front of the be conscious alien technically will be re-putting ahead what an alien already is.

In the last 10 years, the US has made it much more difficult to become a legitimate US resident or citizen. It doesn't matter because our country is so huge, DHS does not have enough people to catch up to all of the illegals.

It requires paperwork and waiting so many years. It also requires some money I believe and only so many are accepted, your background has to be clear, if you have committed a crime in the US chances are you will not become a citizen legally.

They had rather sneak across the border illegally instead of doing it the legal way because it is the LAZY, EASY way out. Then they get a fake ID# and get cash paying jobs, welfare, subsidized housing and free medical care. All those 'perks' is incentive for them. Take away the incentives, they'll stop coming.
They whine 'it takes too long" , "it costs to much", well ..DUH, we made it difficult for a REASON!! We want to be able to CONTROL the NUMBER of immigrants, where they come from, why they are coming here, can they support themselves without welfare, screen those entering the USA for disease and past criminal histories. It isn't SUPPOSE to be EASY!!
