Have you ever had a boy who was bad for you and you knew it, but he just had this power over you that kept you coming helplessly back for more? I know I'm not alone here - so many of us girls have been through it!

I thought I was immune - I've always been very strong and dominant - the Queen B*tch my friends have always called me ;)... but now I'm with a guy who I know is a bastard, but whenever he looks into my eyes or strokes my hair I melt like a schoolgirl...he just knows how manipulate me, to push my buttons, to make me do anything. I can't resist. How do these guys do this to us, and how do we break their spell?

Sorry to post this question again - but my comp played up and I couldn't tell what happened to it the first time...and I figure I can never have too many answers to a question like this. Thanks!

Been there....You have to be strong! Make a conscious effort to stay away. And tell yourself over and over and over and over...he's bad for you. Its not easy. In fact its probably one of the hardest things you will ever do.

Remember the harder you try to stay away or resist the stronger he will come on to you. Have your friends help you and keep busy.

Sounds like luvvvvvvv.
Just kidding. Sure, everyone goes through that at least once in their lives. You'll end up breaking up or getting dumped or something, cry over it, eat lots of chocolates, gain two pounds, lose three, then find another boyfriend and laugh about your ex with your girlfriends over lunch by the time you're a career woman.
It's life. Have fun.

Your good sense gets shorted out when your imagination and longing connect to the animal "magnetism" of these kinds of guys. It is a way of presenting that men without much else going for them develop and perfect. When he is looking in your eyes he sees prey. You give in because it was so incredibly exciting, nasty and "different" last time and you want it again. As I said, the fantasy of it shorts out your good sense.
Too much of this and your good sense gets shorted out for all time. Watch out.

I got over the "bad boy" crushes when one of them beat me and eventually became a serial murderer. After him, good character qualities in a man became more important than his ability to make me melt. Which I eventually discovered was not mutually exclusive.

Been there. You have to get away and stay busy. Do your best to not think about him. Meet more guys and eventually you will forget all about the loser. Good Luck!

Have your friends help you out here... try to get them to help you stick up for yourself every time he wants you to roll over for him. You have to go up and tell him that if he really cares then he wouldn't be treating you like that.
