When my daughters wear earrings made of any material, their earlobes are getting wounded soon.
The wound can be cured but the condition does not change.Do you have any experience to over come this problem/any treatment to cure it permanently?

It's important to pay close attention to the metal that the earrings are made of, and that they be very clean (isopropyl alcohol) when they go in, and that they not be left in more than 24 hours without cleaning again.

Most people find 14 ct. or higher gold to be the least irritating metal. Of course, these earrings can be expensive. Hypo allergenic studs should be good, but I think there's a lot of variation and don't know precisely what that means regarding each particular earring. I've seen some that claim "surgical steel' and while that should be good, again, I'm not sure what the standards are, even if there are any.

Go with the gold, either yellow or white (if they like a silver look). And make sure they're very clean when they change them (clean hands too).

Personally, I can wear almost anything - although I have many allergies - mainly to medication.

My elder sister, however, cannot wear anything that is not solid gold. Talk about Miss Expensive!

Perhaps the jewelery is not pure gold and your girls are having allergic reactions to the other components (usually cheap mixed metals) which are harmful for any kind of usage.

Anyway, stop them from wearing those you already bought and visit a jeweler of considerable reputation. Ask them to let you have Certficates of Authentication, which would verify the purity of the metal - GOLD - to keep your girls from getting infected again.

They get infected or allergic. They must only wear golden earrings, and before they put them on, they must disinfect the part that goes through the ear lobe with alcohol or betadine.

they are allergic to the base metals used in the earings. I have to wear only 18 karat gold earrings, anything else makes my lobes infected too.

Consider getting your doctor to evaluate your daughters for bleeding disorders or a collagen vascular disorder. It could be a pointer to an familial/heriditary/genetic anomaly. You can have them also screened for type 1 (juvenile) diabetes.
