Use a #2 leg-hold trap. Set the trap up in an area where you can block it off except for a narrow channel that the bobcat will have to step into with a tree against the back. Use sticks on both sides of the trap so that the bobcat will have to step over the sticks right into the trap.

Use scents. Either bought or something else like tuna juice. Haven't seen a cat yet that don't come running to the smell of tuna.

Check the regs with local fish and game, some states require the use of off set traps, and have limitations on bait or scents.

We picked up a Bobcat Kitten once, it came right up to us. But, the Game Warden came up and made us turn it lose. Not sure how to make a trap. Your Game and Fish Commission may help you, if, it legal. I not they have those spring traps for certain legal animals but they can be harmful as in breaking a leg.
Below a link to pictures and you see the Spring Trap and a Cage Trap.

YOu can trap one with a simple leg trap. There was a guy once near us that found a very alive bobcat in his trapline he was running. He got a full sized sheet of plywood and cut a tiny mouse hole in the middle of the bottom of it. Put that over his paw and unhooked him. So I know that you can trap a bobcat with those! I think he was trying to trap for coyote. Good luck and check your local game laws first!

Contact Animal Control in your area and arrange for them to come trap the animal. There are laws against trapping or keeping exotic or endangered animals and the law is interpreted differently in different locations. I don't know how it is interpreted in your area but you can aviod any trouble by letting them handle the problem for you.
