I had my 3rd one in two days just 20 minutes ago. It started yesterday. It starts off w/ a small pain and builds up quickly in my head to the point where I want to cry. Then, it goes away as quickly as it came. Sometimes there is a little slight pain here and there for a few minutes after it goes away but nothing like what it was. Does anyone know what this is or where I can get information that might help me figure out what it is? I am scheduling a doc's appointment as soon as posible so dont waste you time telling me "I dont know go see a doctor". Im not stupid. Im just impatient.

The prudent question my instinct tells me to ask is if your sleep has been less than adequate lately. The brain is the part of the body most affected by sleep loss. Since the brain feels no pain, your pain could be caused by pressure and swelling.

It could be several things, some serious and some pretty minor, which is why that drs appointment is so important! I could sacre the pants off you with doom and gloom stories but im not an expert and it wouldnt be fair to you. Be patient, the doctor will give you some answer (hopefully!!!) Good luck!

Please do schedule an appointment. They will probably order a CT Scan. If this comes back negative, look at your stress level.

I don't think you are stupid or impatient. You are concerned and rightly so. Your body is telling you something. Make sure others listen.....

Sounds like you are having really bad migraines.
Take pain meds and close your eyes that will help with the pain
hope the doc can help but I do not have a really good answer

probably migraines but if it is your worst headache i would have cat scan for if something else is wrong also i think cat scan can show migraines because your blood vessel? narrow causing migraines if you want a cat scan either go to the doctor to prescribe one to be done or go to the hospital telling them it is the worse one ever then you should get a cat scan.i get migraines but the last longer.

It sounds like brain freeze - when you have something too cold to drink or ice cream and drink/eat it really fast.
See your doctor if you are concerned about anything to do with your head.
