I had my 3rd one in two days just 20 minutes ago. It started yesterday. It starts off w/ a small pain and builds up quickly in my head to the point where I want to cry. Then, it goes away as quickly as it came. Sometimes there is a little slight pain here and there for a few minutes after it goes away but nothing like what it was. Does anyone know what this is or where I can get information that might help me figure out what it is? I am scheduling a doc's appointment as soon as posible so dont waste you time telling me "I dont know go see a doctor". Im not stupid. Im just impatient.

Beleive me, you dont sound impatient.. you dont need to 'schedule ' a doctors appointment, you need to GET TO AN EMERGENCY ROOM ASAP.
symptoms you are decribing sound very much like a possible blot clot?
Did you fall in the last few days? do you have a cut which is just healing? Dont wait for a stroke my friend, get help fast.
need i say more??

ps.. if youre in a cold area, it could also be a blocked sinus , maybe that simple, on the other hand, i know sinus headaches last a lot longer than 30 seconds.. please dont waste time.

Noone on here can help you like you can because noone knows you better than you know yourself. You must ask yourself certian questions like, did I eat something different from what I've been eating, did I drink something different, am I under more stress, or coming down off something stressful. Have you moved from one place to another? These are question that only you will know the answers to. These are question that your DOC will ask you, that's if they're good. perhaps there is something in the air that is passing through your city, town, or state. Seek and you will find the reason.

There is a type of headache that sounds like what your describing (not a migraine) there called cluster headaches. However I wouldn't take my word for it, GO TO A DOCTOR OR THE ER RIGHT AWAY!!! Better safe than sorry.

me and my partner were suffering the same thing, and it turned out to be just symptoms of a bug thats going round. it passed after about four days, but keep your doctors appointment anyway just incase its something different. in the meantime you could try putting your head over a bowl of boiled water with menthol crystals in. this will help clear your sinuses and take the pressure off your head. hope this helps

my girlfriend had this once. it sounds just like what your going thru. They had to do a catscan because the doctor said it could be a blood vessel getting ready to blow. If it would bust she would have whats known as an anuresym. I sure hope i spelt that right. So to be safe i certainly would see a doc.

I had such patient suffering for 13 years and was suggested surgery.
Actually this is a nerve problem and have no medicine but Acupuncture treats it. If there is a skilled acupuncturist in near by area go there; otherwise visit us.
