I try to be courteous when i am in public places....walk to the right, hold doors for people. I am appalled at the percentage of black people that walk very slow down the center of a walkway and refuse to move when people are coming at them, they also commonly say nothing when you hold a door open for them, particularly black ladies...white, hispanic, asian people generally say thank you about 80% of the time....black people, maybe 40%...i have lived in many states, around inner cities and in upscale neighborhoods...no racial tensions or anything...its just anytown, US. I am not trying to be racial!!!! Its got nothing to do with color...we are all mixed breeds!!! It has everything to do with attitude...being positive goes a long way...it could make rasicm vanish if some people just stepped up and were more kind. Its not a "white" thing...its universal...being rude....I am saying this so that some black people with some grudge in their heart wont treat a respectful white person that way

You're not coming off as racist and it does happen all the time. But yes, it has nothing to do with race, everything to do with age and class. Young kids with no class act like ******* whereever they go, and see that in white, black, Asian, everything.

I find that is is mostly the young adults that do this in the malls. I dread going to the mall anymore because you have to fight to get thru. It is awful. I expecially hate it when you pass by a highschool and the purposely look at you and cross very slowly. There are more rude kids these days than at any other time. I think parents have gotten away from teaching basic manners and respect to their children. I am not talking all parents, just some. They are too busy or something. It is very sad!!

You replied your person question , you place on quirky clothing . If i observed somebody such as you wearing ,,,,, blue suspenders over black tights and a white shirt and a huge BOW on your hair . i could be staring . and that i might talk with regard to the nut I observed once I have been given returned to my husband . Sorry , to no longer insult you yet once you DONT desire to be stared at , then dont positioned on clothing that are out of the regular and phone interest to your self .

I never noticed that. you know, though, i know a lot of white people who are really rude like that. have you ever noticed that old people talk a lot in movies and don't get out of the way and stuff though? just because they're old doesn't mean they can do anything they want!

It could be that they feel that they are owed something because of what happened in the past, which is total B.S. Not that what happened is justified, because it certainly isn't. But it is not the fault of anyone alive today. The people that did that stuff are all dead and gone, and we need to move on now.

Many people do this but, yes I have noticed that more of a percentage of people who are like this are either Black or Latino, they just haven't been taught manners I guess or they just don't care.

Of course, here in England we don't have that trouble. They simply read and obey any signs the same as the rest of us.

i think its just ignorance,If the majority of the percentage you just mentioned knew what the right thing to do was they, would do it.The other percentage would still not do it,because there are people in the world who just hate to do the right/proper thing.
