I'm an older guy that used to be in a Rock band.
After standing on stage in front of a HUGE speaker half my life I know about non verbal communication and hearing loss.

Speech impediment? Heck I can barely hear anyway.
And I am VERY loud just to hear myself.

Shouldn't be a problem as long as it is up front and you can work out a good communication method.
I'm an expert at the Huh... What.... Say again.... No I didn't mean to hurt your feelings... I didn't hear you!
Day to day a pain ... but doable.

We all have faults. You'd probably hate to be judged on yours.
