Sometimes, signs of illnesses become apparent first on the tongue. However, I have no idea what these illnesses might be or what type of signs become apparent.

Unless you've burned your mouth recently, I'd eat more healthily, take it careful and try to be as relaxed as possible. Alternatively, you could see a doctor/dentist now to see if there is any problems or even wait and see.

Just a canker sore. Put some salt on it. It will burn for a minute but it will help it go away,as well as take away the pain . Trust me it works.

Does it hurt? Could be just an inflamed taste bud if it does. Try scraping it off -- might hurt but it will heal up.

Did you burn your tongue recently? Sometimes that can leave a blister. Or maybe you bit yourself in your sleep, it should go on its own in a few days either way.
