I have some detailed ideas about weight loss on myYahoo!360 Blog of September 10.

To summarize briefly, don't target losing more than about 2 lbs per week. If you try to lose faster, your body will go into "starvation mode" and get very stingy about burning calories while at the same time very efficient about storing any calories that you do provide. And it will make you feel awful.

The most effective way to lose fat is aerobic exercise in the "moderate" fat-burning range, ideally first thing in the morning before you eat. When you wake your body is ready to burn fat and your levels of growth hormone are highest at that time. Later in the day it can take up to 30 minutes just to put your body into a fat-burning mode.

Another overlooked way to burn fat is by lifting weights. Skeletal muscle has very high caloric needs... almost twice that of adipose (fat) tissue. Put on a little muscle and you will burn calories all day even at rest. Be aware that skeletal muscle weighs more, so with this approach you may see your weight increasing while your body fat is melting away. Not realizing this often stresses folks who think they should be losing weight as a measure of fitness. Forget the scale, look in the mirror and you will be happy.

I determined the guide to be very informative and convenient to learn. I've misplaced 17 kilos in 12 days, I'm simply involved that I'm wasting an excessive amount of weight, too rapidly. I will admit I have not adopted the consultant precisely. I'm no longer sticking flawlessly to the indexed meals and meal plans (however typically) and doing little or no undertaking, however the weight maintains flying off. It obviously works and if I'd adopted it precisely I feel it might scare the dwelling daylights out of me seeing that of the volume that I'd lose. So thank you once more for the expertise. I've by no means bought something like this earlier than seeing that they're mainly filled with trash, however 3WD has been a exceptional shock. Get began at present!

Try The Zone by Barry Sears, M.D. I'm guessing by your comments about depression that you eat for comfort when you're bummed out, as opposed to eating for good nutrition to be healthy. The Zone will accomplish both a huge weight loss and healthful eating simultaneously. It's based on eating prescribed amounts of food at prescribed times - just like taking your medications. A ratio of 9 parts carbohydrate to 7.5 parts protein to 2 parts fat eaten 5 times a day - 3 meals and 2 snacks - very large portions. This is an eating program that works wonders for weight loss IF YOU WORK IT DILIGENTLY. I'm a 6'1" 60 year old male. On two different occasions, I've used this program to go from 205 to 175 in 6-7 weeks. I also use it for 'maintenance tuneups' periodically to drop 10-15 pounds in a couple of weeks. Look for Barry Sears' many books starting with 'Enter the Zone' or check the web site. Good luck!!

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

You should be talking to your doctor and your therapist about your desire to loose weight *fast*. As far as I know, there is no safe and healthy way to loose weight fast. Taking depression meds indicate that you have some life issues that need to be taken into consideration in this decision.

If you are serious about losing weight, the calories
in the food you eat should be less than the
energy you use. You will have to increase your
metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.

Do 200 situps a night. Make sure to eat at least one healthy meal of just fruits or veggies. Only eat sweets on the weekend as a reward, for eating well during the week. Most importantly excercise and eat healthy foods.

If you can get off your depression meds that's your best bet, I had a friend who stopped her medication and it was hard for a bit but she had alot of help and is acutally much happier now, she also lost around 100 pounds.

Hope this helps

I lost 62 lbs in 3 weeks by extreme hard woks and pain by jogging about 3 hours a day, everyday. Its not easy. Its very hard work and lots of pain but the end result is absolutely satisfying. Its all in our mind how hard do we wanna achieve it. There is no simple, easy way of losing weight. Jogging also makes your body firm up heaps.
