It is much harder for a man to attract a woman, than it is for a woman to attract a man. However, it is much harder for a woman to get a man to stay, than it is for a man to get a woman to stay. That's just natural selection at work.

Initial attraction = Harder for a man (to get a woman)
Long term = Harder for woman (to keep a man)
