I counted 16 different weight classes according to the link that
thegroovyguy posted, and the champions for the three major
boxing governing bodies (WBA, WBC, IBF) are listed there
with regards to the weight classes.

both links posted above are very good links.
it is very easy to get confused who actually is the best boxer in each weight division.
nowadays, the most entertaining and the so called and possibly "real" champions don't even own any belts, confusing eh?

Best matches to watch now are on the History Channel! PBS ran a great special on Joe Louis vs. Max Schmelling. A must-see!
