Who wants to be just friends........x?

Yes. There will always be temptation of course, to go that little bit further, but why ruin a good friendship?

I am good friends with a girl who anybody would fancy - good looking, intelligent, etc. She considers me a friend too, but if I tried anything? No - would rather have her as a friend than not.

If she fancied me, and tried it on? Well I am married so she wouldn't be a very good friend after all, would she? I would be tempted though..........................I know, I'm a typical guy. Sorry.

I would resist and be incredibly flattered, all the same.

No wither someone gets hurt or wastes their life hoping instead of seeking a mutual relationship.

I think that as a true friend, the one who does not "fancy" the other should be the one to let go of the realtionship it will help their friend get on with their life and find someone else.

u mean if one wants to date the other one? Heck no.
But also I dont really think men and women can be "just friends", with a couple exceptions. If they do not find the other in the slightest bit physically attractive, but just enjoy each others personalities.... that would be an exception.

If one of them has a partner, yes. I'm friends with a man who blatantly fancies me but because he knows that I'm taken, he knows he wouldn't get anywhere by trying to take things further.

i have just been told by a male friend that he likes me more than friends... i laughed it off but its very awkward and if theres nothing more there than just friendship then forget it and be open, try not to loose a good friend but people do say friendship is a strong foundation for a long loving relationship and gets stronger with time.

You can not be friends, you would always be jealous of the person they are with, come onto her/him and end up hurting them etc. If you did actually tell them you like them and they say can we be just friends it still will not be the friendly relationship you used to have as they will always doubt in their mind that you still have them feelings. You will drift apart...

no, plain and simple i have been in and still am in this situation. and i try my best to be 'just' a friend but at the back of my mind i'm always thinking of what could be, and it drives me crazy. Every time i dont speak to him i wonder what hes doing, when hes with me and gets calls from other female friends i burns me up. Its so hard being his friend.............but its what keeps me close to him.

Yes! I have a very close guy friend and we both know that we have feelings for each other but I am also in a completely happy relationship! We respect each others boundaries but we are very good friends.
