Weirdest food....
Cow heart (in kebob form) really good, served with peanut butter sauce.
Or Cow Tounge I don't care for it much but its really popular in my country.

Not really weird, but only unfamiliar, is shoo fly pie. It's sort of like a coffee cake inside a pie crust, with a sticky molassas-based bottom, a cakey center, and crumbs on top. It's practically all sugar and spices, but it is delicious. (It's Pennsylvania German.)

It's called "shoo fly" because it's so sweet you have to shoo the flies (and little kids!) away from it while it cools. If you serve it warm, the bottom sticky part is too liquid and it's hard to eat. Some people always do, of course, because it smells so good they can't wait.

My friend is from the Philippines, and she always has some crazy foods, but some are pretty good. Her mom cooks good.
As for me, I love chile. Red chile and green chile. You have to live in New Mexico to know. Its considered a condiment or side, but I eat it by itself like a bowl of soup. Everyone here eats just about everything with chile on it or in it.
I also like chicharrones. Its a little morsel of deep fried pork fat (and not the pork rinds from frito lay, either). Yummmm!

Boiled crawfish/mudbugs.
Fried cracklins......(pork skins)

Pears with a dallop of mayo and shredded cheddar cheese on top.

And I actually love asparagus with mayo on it.

This may not be wierd enough you guys, but I like Menudo (tripe soup) with lots of oregano, diced onions, cilantro, and lime juice with a side of hot, home made tortillas.

Dried fish. Once you get over the strong smell it tastes very good. It's sort of like beef jerky but only fish meat. I tried it because they eat it all the time in my hubby's country.

it's a southern thing - banana and peanut butter sandwich - with mayo on one side. Also - maybe not so weird I like American cheese, Bologna, and lays potato chip sandwiches - with sweet ice tea.
