I have got a place for a telephone and a socket but apparently my address has previous BT debts there so BT will not give me a phone line. Ive been in touch with them on loads of occasions and sent in numerous ID etc but they still wont give me a line. Is there anyone else out there who will give me a phone connection WITHOUT needing a bloody BT live line!!!!!!! In desparation now please help!!

Try some other companies as long as you have the land line you can get connected

They must give you a legitimate reason for not giving you a line.

Also any company that you can pay line rental to can activate a line as they have access to the same processes that BT Retail use. Although they mey charge connection fee's

Try NTL cable. I use that for the Internet so if my land line goes wrong I still have a connection

Raise the issue with OFCOM, BT are not allowed to do that

try ntl..if you have cable they will give you a land line..i run my phone through my live box.
