You've set up a website, which is a good first step. This makes a view of your art available free worldwide. Make sure your art is on all the good directories, like Yahoo! and dmoz.org so it can be found.
Having done that I recommend the books "Understanding International Art Markets and Management" by Iain Robertson and "Art Market Research: A Guide to Methods and Sources" by Tom McNulty. Both are recent enough to give you up-to-date information on arts publicity.
And don't be modest. In the world of arts, if you don't toot your own horn, nobody will. Take every opportunity you get to tell people you're an artist and that you have work available for sale. People won't look for your work until they know your work is there to be looked at.
