To the women here. Would this note bother you?

Dear *******, This is D from the over-night shift. As you may have noticed, I’m a man of little-to-no spoken words; music is my main means of expression. This is why I’ve decided to write this note. I’m also not one to bother others while they’re busy working. Especially those working with money.

Anyways, here’s the primary reason I wrote this note: I’m really interested in you and I would really like to go out with you sometime. If you have any interest and are available, please give me a call at ***-***-****. If you’d rather I contact you, just send me a quick message with your # to **********@vmobl.com or talk to me at work when you get a chance. Please get back to me somehow, as I would like to know if you’re interested or not.

Now, if I freaked you out by writing this, I do apologize. I will not disturb you again. I will leave everything to you now. Thanks for reading this. Good day
Sincerely,

My husband and I met at work, and I'm the one who wrote him the note. That was 6 years ago. I was 20, and he was 28, so I know where you're at. :-) I was interested in him, and though I had worked there for about 4 months, I had never even talked to him. I left a note in his mailbox at work that said "I know we don't even know each other, but I was wondering if you wanted to go out to dinner tonight?" I got out at 5, but he got out at 4:30, and all day long, I didn't hear from him, so I thought it was a no. At 4:30, all the guys went home, so I thought he left too, but he came into the office around 4:35, and we decided on a place to meet for dinner. We were engaged 8 months later, and married 3 months after that. We've been married almost 5 years now.

I like your note, but I think it might be a little too long. The first paragraph is good. The second one though.. Instead of your phone number, your email, OR the option to talk to you at work, I would say just leave one option. Maybe email? If she does like you too, she might be too nervous to call you!

The last paragraph though is a little weird, and a bit long. Don't say anything about freaking her out. Just say "If I don't hear back from you, I'll understand that you're not interested. I hope to hear from you soon."

Good luck!

NO! It makes you sound needy with a lack of confidence. It sounds way to nice almost fake. Plus your putting her on the spot. Just ask her out sometime when you get a chance to talk to her face to face. Don't ask her out on a date though just ask her to go out to a function like a concert or party with other people involved. Get to know each other a little bit outside of work and then ask her if shes interested in more of a relationship.

Hi,

first i have to laugh out loud then say, KEEP IT SHORT.......
Don't worry about going on about what your doing and etc... just ask her out for a drink or dinner or even ask for her phone number leave all the rest for when the two of you get talking or other wise you will end up over whelming the poor girl

I like the note but i think you may be too experienced for a 20 year old......age doesn't matter when both people are on a equal level of maturity. i just don't see that with her being 20 and you being 28...sorry

That's sweet! Although, I wouldn't write it so much like a business letter!
