I have had good luck with both McAfee and Norton. There are 100% rebates on one or the other from stores like Staples and CompUSA. You buy it at a reduced price and send in the coupon. They refund the rest of the price. That way you are buying a known good brand but not paying anything.

Antivirus:

or AVG because it's the best free one.

I think AVG Virus scanner is the best. Ewidio spyware scanner is the best spyware scanner.

I personally have AVG virus on my computer. It works really well. It automatically scans your computer. And the feature I like most about it, is that you can choose to scan different parts of your computer or you can even choose to scan a selected program on your computer to see if it has a virus. And the thing most people like about it is that it is free.

Norton first but nothing is fool=proof. Those damn questionable sites are always trying to give me a virus.
