a good indoor one with a built signal amplifier will perhaps work if you are not too far from the transmitter. Best bet is to buy a good one from (opps not Index) Argos try it and if no good take it back get your money back. Nothing lost!!!

Yes and no. Go for a parabola, the best ones are made by Philips. Make sure it's banded for digital, it'll say so on the box. Best buys are the ones with integrated gain control, they plug into the mains and either increase or decrease the capicitance of your antenna. In radio coms height is always best, and if you live lower down or are surrounded by tall buildings, The signal reaching an indoor aerial may at best be weak, at worst not there at all.

Depends on the location of your house. If your area is covered by digital, ( you can find out by supplying your postcode to the freephone number), you might get it but I live on the ground floor in a built up area and I couldn't get get to work despite living in an area which was supposedly OK. Try getting an indoor digital aerial out of Argos and trying it so that if it doesn't work you can get your money back. Most places which sell indoor aerials will tell you that they don't recommend Indoor aerials for digi boxes.

Indoor one to stand on top of your set and a signal amplifier from Argos.

They can work fine. You can get a "high gain" arial if you need one but although inexpensive, they need to be plugged into a power socket.

It depends on how good a signal you're getting. There's no reason why they shouldn't work otherwise.
