I can't tell you.

I have the answer to this, as well as hundreds of other questions the human race hasn't even thought of yet.

When the time is right, I may let everyone know who put the bop in the bop sha bop sha bop, but I'm still mulling it over.

Long story; see the reference for lots of details which I can only summarize here. Mammals have been around since before the fall of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago, but the anthropoid apes who are the common ancestors of mankind and chimpanzees arose only about six million years ago. Several major evolutionary events happened subsequently, giving rise to a number of hominid species including H. sapiens about 1.5 - 2 million years ago. The other hominids died off (or were killed off), so we are the only ones left. Differential evolution occurs when a species is divided; a division of H. sapiens presumably led to the racial differences we see today. But the differences are so slight that this division must have been quite recent (within the last hundred thousand years or so).

To answer this question first we should ask: Who are we?
If we misidentify our selves with the temporary material body made of flesh, blood, bones, then we get answers such as : from your mother and father, from sperm and eggs, etc.
Actually we are eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of God, but due to our misusing our tiny independence we have chosen to forget our relationship with Him. Therefore we have fallen from our position in the spiritual world and into this material world which is full of the sufferings of birth, death, old age and disease. Now the next question is How to reestablish our relationship with God and return to our original position of eternality, knowledge and bliss.

Me, personally? I was gestated for a week over nine months. My fathers sperm met my mothers ovum one night/day in April and in Jan, I was born. This was the pro-creation given to mankind by God for us to share in creating life. Where did we all come from? Our start (as a human race) started with Adam and Eve.

Hmm.... one usually answers questions like this via backtracking. Since we aren't looking at a geographical track but a time track, it means looking backward in time.

Therefore, you must discern your best source for looking backward. Personally, it seems that the biologists have the best source for doing so. By looking back at our DNA and comparing it with other creatures, it indicates that we "came from" a similar ancestor as the chimpanzee and the bonobo.

Naturally, you can keep looking further back, if you like, but that would require an extensive course in evolutionary biology. I'm certain they are available at your local university.

Bit old to be asking this?
If you mean 'the human race' by 'we' then the simple answer is God.
Science will tell you all the gory details of the evolution process.
It still leaves the question on who started the process.

I firmly believe that man is an introduced species to earth. Where we came from, I don't know. We are the only species that has the power to overcome our environment. Also, if we did evolve from apes, why did we regress? Evolution doesn't make you less able to survive, it should make you stromger. We evolved hairless and with less strength? It doesn't make sense.
