It is advisable to take the flu shot after you get well. However, i'm not so sure of the effectiveness of the flu shot as i became sick though it was only 2 weeks since i took the flu jab. You might want to check with your family physician for medical advise though.

If you have a cold they (the drs office ) should not give you a flu shot . It wont work against the virals in your body. I am pretty sure the dr will not give you a flu shot . be sure you tell them that you have a cold when you get there or call them and tell them that you have a cold that way you do not make a trip for nothing. A flu shot is nothing but a smaller version of the flu... SO IT WOULD HELP UR COLD GET WORSE!!! I advise AGIANST IT.
