When I was about 22 or 23, I dated a guy who was 10 years older. This was about the right age difference because I was just starting out in my career and he was already established and more willing to be emotionally supportive and understanding. Also, the maturity levels were about right. We were good friends before we dated and we remained good friends after we broke up (he moved to the west coast).
When I was about 26 I dated a guy who was 18 years older. I knew him for a number of years before we dated. Nice guy, but he was kind of condecending in that he thought everything I did was cute. That got old after a while. Also, I really didn't think about the age difference except that every so often it occurred to me that this guy was only 3 years younger than my dad (thats a bit creepy). Things probably could have worked out, but he was the rebound guy when I had split up from my boyfriend for a while. Mostly, I like men who are a bit older.

The guy i am dating right now is like 10 years older than me i only date older guys the few times i've dated guys my age i've noticed how immature they were that and they didn't have their lives together they had too much drama. Older guys seem to have their lives together that and they have life experiences can play a role in the relationship...Older women are the same way they know what they want and they are out to get it and they don't want to "play" they mean business.

dated then married someone 11 yrs younger. don't recommend it. now m waiting for him to grow up. very frustrating. overall he's a good guy. if he hadn't been such a good guy i probably wouldn't even have considered him. after all the bs i've been through in relationships i wanted someone who wasn't as jaded as me. i got that. age difference only plays a small part in a relationship. it's about the overall compatibility. what interests each person has, how many r shared interests, r u able to communicate about thoughts, feelings without the other getting upset and telling u ur stupid or immature? there's more to love and relationships than age. been with guys 10-15 yrs older and they were more immature than my husband

I dated this guy once who was 10 years older then me. The problems I had with him was number one he was so jealous. I didn't give him a reason to be but he was. Another was he was controlling. That I had a big problem with and it ended our relationship due to it. But to be honest with you I think it depends on the person themselves. Not saying all would be like he was. My husbands 6 years younger then me. We get alone great and have more in common then anyone I've been with. ;o)

my friends have dated fellow up to 10 years younger
and my best friend has date a guy 15 years older and she is still with him
i'm dating a fellow who is 10 months younger and he's amazing
we're engaged at this moment
so i think the younger one's are more understanding and willing to make you much more happy

Yes, I have dated both MUCH older and also MUCH younger. Both had cons and pros, do not allow a number (age) limit your possibility for love.
(AT MY CURRENT AGE IT IS DIFFICULT TO FIND ANYONE SIGNIFICANTLY OLDER TO DATE.)

My ex and father of my kids was 14 years older. It really didn't play a role in the relationship.

My past 3 boyfriends have all been about 10 years older than me. Maybe that's not too significant. I've just always preferred older men.
