I remember pressing leaves when I was a kid between two peices of wax paper and using them in craft projects.

I also remember placing them underneath paper and tracing them with pencil on paper to make neat little designs.

Seems like natural crafts like we used as kids have gone along the way-side.

What I like to do is put them under a piece of regular paper and colour over them with crayons making a collage. You can also, and only Mom can do this part, put the leaves between wax paper and iron them. This helps make them more pliable to work with and they won't break on you. Then you can glue them into a scrapbook for the children to admire in the middle of winter.

My mother-in-law (Mimi) let my daughter pick out different leaves. Then they used brushes or sponges to apply a thin layer of paint. Then press the painted side carefully to a sweatshirt or apron. They used fall colors and leaves that weren't too dried out. My daughter now has an apron that is very cute and reminds her of having fun with her Mimi.

And Mimi has a fall-themed sweatshirt that used to be plain and boring.

We collect leaves of different shapes and sizes. Then I tape them to a sunny window and tape construction paper behind them. After a few days the paper will fade with the image of the leaf still dark. We then hang them around the house for decorations. My son loves this. Every day we will peek to see how much they have faded and he likes decorating the house with them.

Hi! I'm not very crafty byt my son and I went around and collected a bunch of leaves. We came home and glued them on construction paper. We got out the markers and made turkeys with them, and other various animals. He was thrilled just gluing and thinking of the animals. It turned out really cute! Have fun!

This isn't so crafty. but nothing is better than raking up a HUGE pile and jumping in them! Still my favorite to this day!
