Because Christ was a fulfillment of Jewish Prophecy ergo Christianity is merely the next phase of Judaism. In a sense all Christians are Jews spiritually, for Judah was merely a son of Abraham and the father of the tribe of Judah.

Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Rom 9:4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;
Rom 9:5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
Rom 9:6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
Rom 9:7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
Rom 9:8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

Jesus was actually half Jewish and half Levite because his mother was half Jewish halv Levite. So Jesus embodied the king line (Judah) and the priest line (Levi) Thus becoming the Lord of Lords and King of Kings.

Heb 6:20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

He was born jewish.

Jewish is "slang" for Judaism.

He was born of the tribe of Judah. I am not. I couldn't be Jewish, even if I tried.

I can follow his teachings and the teachings of his apostles that HE CHOSE to teach us the NEW covenant.

Hebrews 9
1 Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.

2 For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.

3 And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;

4 Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

5And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.

6Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.

As you can see, the new testament supercedes the old, as your parents last will and testament supercedes in any court the will of them AFTER THEY ARE DEAD.

Hope this helps.

Christianity is a form of Judaism, unfortunately they separated from Judaism in the roman empire era, Christianity became a state religion and gain political power.Christianity will always have it's diversity,like Judaism it's rich message will always find new ways to express itself.Now with that said, comes the scriptural Christianity which is the modern day Messianic judiasm which also has many diverse branches.Gentiles christians do follow a form of judiasm but because of there strong committment to christ they fall into the catorgory of christianity.Finally I would like to add that ancient judiasm was more diverse than the modern judiasm which has about 3 major sects.

Because religion evolves over time, changes and maybe at a slow pace, but regardless each generation believes their way is the right way according to what they've been taught by their family, peers and religious heirarchy.

But more importanty, Christians believe in the way the Romans spread Christianity throughout Europe by the Roman Empire conquering and forcing upon the beliefs they were promoting and has influenced people right up to this day because their empire was so powerful in killing off everyone and forcing the remaining to convert to the Roman way - which all started off with the Council of Nicea deciding what was and what wasn't the way. This is also when the Council decided that Jesus was a God, he wasn't considered a God until this time - approximately 325 A.D.

A majority of peoples ancestors in the U.S. are from Europe, so they believe what their ancestors and the trickle down effect through family teaching their kids what the Romans had enforced there oh so many years ago with brute force. Now it is so ingrained in people's beliefs that it's hard for people growing up in these families to see any other way, so they follow their traditions.

Jewish, as in nationality, or Jewish as in religion?

I assume the latter. In the incarnation, Jesus was born a Jew. Raised a Jew. However, Judaism failed to understand the true significance of their ceremony and rites, traditionalized and instutionalized to the point that they missed God's promised Messiah when He came.

When Jesus came He brought new wine and put it in new wine skins... the old wine skins could not hold the new wine. Christianity is the fulfillment of true Judaism, but the distortions of tradition in Jesus' day caused the Jews to fail to recognize both Him and this truth. Read this Scripture from St. John 1:10-14---

"10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God- 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God. 14 The Word (Jesus) became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."

So, in answer to your question, Christianity is the true Israel in a spiritual sense, since Christians receive the Jewish Messiah who is also the Savior of the world. Christianity is the fulfillment of the eternal purpose of God in Christ.

I was born a Gentile (of the non-Jewish races). I am not of the Jewish faith because I DO believe in Christ Jesus - I believe He is the Messiah - the people of the Jewish religion do not recognize that and do not accept Him. They are still waiting for the Messiah.

actual Judaism does not faux to charm to close what takes position to us when we die. that doesn't recommend that many Jews do not position self assurance in an afterlife, we do in basic terms not faux to charm to close. subsequently we experience it really is a more effective perfect use of our time to make this international a more effective perfect position and not in any respect spend too a lot time being centred on what takes position after lack of existence. What perspectives or fashions we do have on heaven in a lot of situations have everyone going. both Jew and non Jew, both good and undesirable, both righteous and wicked. there's a human want to be judged. we've a want for an exterior being to furnish fee to our deeds by technique of creating judgements on them. in spite of the indisputable fact that it really is a human want, not inevitably a godly one.
