No addition, what do put in a bread roll (or pitta) eaten cold on a picnic with no knives and forks.

Easily available ingredients. My local supermarket does not sell Pastrami. Specify where you live and added sauces and pickles included. Type of cheese.

In a wholemeal pitta - Tuna, grated cheddar cheese, rocket and a bit of oil and vinegar

Egg mayo and cress in white bap - stinks but is yummy

Ham, salad cream and a bit of cos - bread or roll whatever you like

Mature Cheddar, mayo and branston small chunk pickle in white - sounds foul but is tasty (honestly)

I avoid cucumber and tomato because it makes the bread all slimy. Have a good one!

i sometimes bring soft tortillas, couple kinds of lunch meat like ham and turkey, cheese like swiss or provolone, lettuce, tomato and sliced onion. i keep those things in seperate ziplock bags. i also bring mayo and mustard that are in little packages like you would get from a fast food place. ranch or italian dressing is good too in those little packages. keeping things in the ziplock bags keeps them from getting wet in the cooler, plus, if you freeze water in those 20 oz water bottles, they will keep things cold but will not melt and get water all over everything. u can put ice cubes in ziplocks to use for your drinks. anyway, once you are at your picnic site, then you lay your tortilla down and layer the ingredients on and roll up. easy to eat and very yummy. you can do the same w/sub rolls (hero rolls, hoagie rolls...whatever your place calls them) and keep them in zip lock bags too or not even in the cooler. for picnics...zip locks, zip locks, zip locks lol. have fun!!

nothing that will make the bread soggy, so no cucumber or tomatoes and not too much mayonniase. Maybe some of that cooked chicken in a tray or some cheddar.

whatever you like!

The list is endless but can I suggest you keep it all separate and then make it all on the picnic - that way you don't have soggy bread!!

if you're putting on something that will make it soggy, put it between hard cheese and a meat slice.
