Hi! Muslimah,

I would accept it and give support to my family member. It's not the religion caste or race that decides human being to be in a lifelong relationship. It's only love and commitment to each other that make two people live together till death. Obviously this opinion varies from person to person. Is it worthy to carry a relationship without love? Love is GOD and GOD is love. If u can't love a person how can u claim that we love and respect GOD!So,it doesn't matter to me if any of my family members is going to accept his/her partner from different caste, religion or race.
To give u a living example, I got immense support from my mom and elder brother when I decided to marry a Keralite though I am a Bengali. Even if He was a Christian ( Most of the Keralites are Christians), they wouldn't not mind.
Perhaps it's the best thing to make someone happy. Life is too short and we don't have much time to have good times together. How much u r getting, simply love everybody and make the world a better place. Will u be ever happy if u see ur loved one's pain and agony for not marrying the person he/she loves? And again, if it an arranged one, ( of the same caste , race and religion)who can tell that it will really work out???
So instead of opposing ,stretch out ur hands for support and comfort for the person as he/she has to overcome lots of obstacles from the elder ones in the conservative family.Believe me, u will find a happiness i.e. really heavenly and worthy of worshipping GOD.

I would rather they marry someone with a good heart that makes them happy. Race and Religion don't matter.

Someone from another race. Cultural differences can be overcome. Religious differences, if one or both parties is devoted to religion makes for a world of pain and suffering. While my DH and I are the same religion - one of us "celebrates" halloween and the other does not -- it made for a very difficult October. I can imagine these issues would be daily occurances if we were of entirely different religions.

At least if you marry someone of a different race, you have common ground in your beliefs and the way you might raise children. Culturally combined families are beautiful, the children are very well rounded and have many different travel opportunities.

Whoever my family members want to marry is there business regardless of race or religion. I'm a muslim but i dont see how i have the right to pick and choose faiths and colour suitable for anyone else. No one had the right to stop me becoming a muslim or marring a muslim..... If my brother wanted to marry a buddist, eskimo i would celebrate there union just as i would if he wanted to marry a french, catholic its his life hes a big enough boy to make his own desicions.

My father is Native American and is currently married to a very wonderful Black lady. They share the same religion so they are equally yoked which is sll the bible said really mattered. However, if the person in question treats my family member with love and respect and makes them happy then my opinion is really a moot issue. However, I would be okay with either under those circumstances.

Well we all have choices and limits in religion. Another race is no problem I guess but another religion can have problems. Muslim men can marry from other religions cause the children will be muslim but its different for woman. And hehehe, we don't need you to marry a muslim and no one is forcing you so respect yourself. Btw, muslimah, I asked you before where you got that avatar. Please tell me, I haven't found one with a hijab. Take care.

I have children who married different races-------this is Ok with me. I think people are people.

I would much prefer my children be married to someone who is not a Christian, but, alas, this has not happened. Thank goodness they do not make a big deal out of this religion.

If my son chose to marry someone of a different race I would be happy, but as for religion, the bible tells us to marry only in the Lord (someone with our own beliefs)

I honestly don't care, as long as they treated my family member well. Another race or another religion, it doesn't matter to me as much as other things.

As long as they aren't extreme in their religion, that is. Extremists of any kind would be unwelcome.
