Compromising is EXTREMELY important. Two people are never going to agree on everything. Just remember if you compromise, and do something you don't want to do, he/she may do the same for you.

a relationship is all about compromise. This needs to be in action when 2 different people come together from different backgrounds to make a promise to be together. How can 2 people ever be the same?

Its about giving and taking.. there must be a balance. Compromise is just one of the many important factors to make a relationship mature and grow.

being 2 different people means that at times we will have different opinions. If 2 people want to be able to share one life, then compromising to the thoughts and views of the other is very essential in becoming one. We should be open to accept that there is another side to the coin.

Well you have to compromise to get along. You are taking two lives and bringing them together. Nobody is the same so compromise needs to be made for everyone to be happy.

Compromise is probably the most important peice. Of all the single miserable people I know (over 35) ALL of them aren't willing to compromise. I mean, if someone isn' t perfect they are done. And I don't mean things that matter, like abuse. I mean things like... putting up with a man who watches football, or dating a man who is bald. My husband drives me insane sometimes, but we compromise on our activities, our lifestyle, our parenting everythign!!

You can't always get exactly what you want. If we lived like that, we'd all be alone and unhappy. Sometimes compromise can really feel good, like you're doing something for the other person to show you care about what they want.

That is why there are so many divorces now, because no one wants to compromise about anything. That are always right. Marriage is give and take, but at times it feels like all give. You deal with it,and things will get better.

Yes I think a relationship is about accepting others views and being willing to compromise so that both parties are happy.

One party having power is not cool.

Depends on the topic. It sure helps if you started out being harmonious about Something. And it depends on the arena. When he's "on stage," I compromise, and I expect the same from him.
