Grabbing a bit to eat before work or play, what do put on the toast?

Most often, not special occasions.

You don't have time to cook the beans (not even in the microwave), could have them cold on toast though.

Pate is great on toast and cheap to buy in the roll from supermarket and do not need butter on it also filling and good for you.
Once had a friend from Sweden and ever lunch time at work she would do some toast butter it and sprinkle sugar on it must admit it tasted really nice odd but nice.
You could spread a cheese spread on it.
Good old jam or marmalade.

Butter first, of course, then spread some applesauce on top. If you are in a real hurry sprinkle a mixture of sugar and cinnamon over the butter. Cinnamon is good for you and it tastes great. I always keep a sprinkle bottle of the mixture in the cupboard for those toast cravings. You mix a half cup of white sugar with 1 tablespoon of cinnamon and shake to mix. Enjoy!

I just had toast for lunch. I toasted four slices, buttered them, stuck a bit of brie between two slices, folded the third round another bit of brie, and spread honey on the fourth. I also ate a couple of cherry tomatoes between bites of brie toasty. This is what I usually do for a toast-based meal.

blueberries jam (the quickest)
or melt some butter & honey on the bread while it's still toasting in the toaster oven.

When I m in a hurry, I usually don't have time to get a toast done, I bring an apple with me.
